NEET Registration & Application Process

The NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) is the gateway to medical and dental colleges across India. The registration and application process is conducted online by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you complete your NEET application smoothly.

Step 1: Check Eligibility

Before registering, ensure you meet the eligibility criteria:

  • Age Limit: Minimum 17 years as of December 31 of the exam year.
  • Educational Qualification: Must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English.
  • Minimum Marks:
    • General Category – 50% in PCB
    • OBC/SC/ST – 40% in PCB
    • PwD – 45% in PCB

Step 2: Visit the Official NEET Website

Step 3: Register Yourself

  • Provide basic details like name, mobile number, email ID, date of birth, and category.
  • Create a strong password and note down the system-generated application number for future use.

Step 4: Fill the NEET Application Form

  • Enter personal details, educational qualifications, and exam center preferences.
  • Upload scanned copies of:
    • Passport-size photograph (as per NTA specifications)
    • Signature
    • Category certificate (if applicable)
    • Left-hand thumb impression

Step 5: Pay the Application Fee

  • Payment can be made online via credit/debit card, net banking, or UPI.
  • Fee Structure (as per previous years, subject to change):
    • General: ₹1700
    • OBC-NCL/EWS: ₹1600
    • SC/ST/PwD/Transgender: ₹1000

Step 6: Download Confirmation Page

  • After successful submission, download and print the confirmation page for future reference.
